Arsenal close to completing deal for £40million Alexis Sanchez replacement

North London giants Arsenal are still on course to offload Alexis Sanchez at the end of the campaign, but reports suggest they could have an opportunity of signing PSG ace, Julian Draxler.

With just about six months remaining on his current deal, there has been no indication to suggest that Alexis Sanchez will ink a new contract with Arsenal to extend his deal at the Emirates Stadium.

In turn, the Gunners seemingly have two options. They can either try to offload him in the winter transfer window to sell and raise sufficient funds to replace him or continue to hope that he pens a deal before the end of the season while risking letting him go for nothing when his contract expires.

The Sun reported that they have made contact with the French club over Julian Draxler again and will have to spend £40million on the German to take him to Arsenal.

However, it all depends on the Chilean, which will undoubtedly be a major frustration for Gunners fans to continue to see the issue rumble on.

The North London club are ready to splash £30million on the Bundesliga star, but if they get a £40million offer for Alexis Sanchez, they could increase that bid, according to report.
