Not Lukaku – Chelsea Gets Upper Hand To Snatch Amazing €100M Striker Ahead Of Arsenal

Arsene Wenger has a lot of things to do in his squad and he is expected to properly utilise the summer transfer window. He needs to sign a superb centre-forward who can help make a difference next season.

And right now, the Sun are reporting that both Arsenal and Chelsea are at the forefront to sign Italian striker Andrea Belotti from Torino.

It is understood that the Italian international has a release clause of €100M in his current contract with the Serie A club.

Belotti has proved to be one of the best strikers in the footballing world by scoring 25 times in 34 appearances for Torino in the just concluded season.

Arsene Wenger has not been able to bring another world class striker to the club following the departure of Robin van Persie. However, 23-year-old Andrea can help solve everything once and for all.

However, one important factor the Italian international is likely to consider in his choice of destination is the opportunity to play in the Champions League.

Chelsea have an upper hand here because they won the Premier League title and could play in the Champions League next season. The Gunners, on the other hand, could only finish 5th on the premier league table and thus, aren’t qualified to play in the big competition.
