Contract talks stalled, Liverpool star to leave Anfield

Liverpool defender Alberto Moreno has his focus firmly fixed on an exit from the club after contract talks between both parties hit the rocks.

The Spaniard is said to be disillusioned with life at Anfield according to Spanish media outlet Estadio Deportivo and that he has turned down the offer of signing a new contract at the club as a result.

Alberto Moreno has less than six months left on his current deal with the Premier League table toppers.

He has already lost his spot in the Reds starting XI to Scottish international skipper Andy Robertson since last season with the former Hull City defender seen as the undisputed first choice left-back at Liverpool.

Alberto Moreno has started just one Premier League game this season and that was in the 4-1 home win over Welsh side Cardiff City earlier in the season.

The Spanish international defender was the recipient of the left-back spot at Liverpool upon his transfer from Spanish La Liga giants Sevilla in the summer of 2014.

Moreno, 26, favours a move back to Sevilla though he has interests from clubs in Russia and Turkey.

He can start to negotiate a potential free transfer move with foreign clubs.
Arsenal, Spanish champions Barcelona and French club Marseille have all been linked with him.
