Reading boss speaks on interest for United keeper

English Championship side Reading are reported to be interested in the signature of Premier League outfit Manchester United goalkeeper Joel Pereira.

The Report claims that the Championship side wants to land Joel Pereira in this January transfer window so that he can help secure qualification for the team to the top flight.

However, Reading boss Jose Gomes has refused to make any tangible comment on the reported interest as he hopes to keep it cool and mute.

In his interaction with the press, he stated that it is expected to have rumours making rounds in this period of the winter transfer window but claimed that it would be inconsequential to make any reaction on rumours.

However, it is unclear what the future holds for United’s Joel Pereira as he seems ready to move on to secure a starting role elsewhere.

The Red Devils have got a high class stopper with the former Atletico Madrid man David De Gea and they hope to replace him with another world class goalkeeper should he leave the club.

Meanwhile, the Spanish goalkeeper was keen to leave the club in this winter window but a move was stopped by the club with a 12 month further stay triggered from his contract.
