Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno has stated that their weekend visitors, Liverpool were only lucky to have scored a goal in the game.
The Gunners goalkeeper was outstanding all through the game except for the goal James Milner got in the second half which can be argued to be a mistake that could have been avoided.
Leno stated that the ball came as a cross and he was unlucky as he praised the team for reacting well to return back into the game.
He is of the opinion that his side played well and deserve to win the game having had an impressive first half display.
Leno has replaced Petr Cech as the team’s first choice keeper if the words of the manager Unai Emery are anything to go by with the former Bayer Luverkusen goalkeeper having to adapt more to the style of playing from behind.
The former Chelsea goalkeeper who just returned from injury is has shown he is not comfortable with the style having had shaky performances, starting from the first game of the season against Manchester City.
Meanwhile, Leno has praised the Spanish manager for not just giving him the opportunity but for his philosophy and mentality that has affected the the entire team.
