Hazard gets whopping new deal
Premier League giants Chelsea will reportedly offer star player Eden Hazard a new deal in the bid to secure his long-term future at the club.
According to the report from the Daily Telegraph, Chelsea want to capitalise on the managerial uncertainty at Real Madrid by offering the Belgian international forward new terms at Stamford Bridge.
Eden Hazard has repeatedly been linked with a transfer to the Champions League and has also spoken about his desire to seal a dream move to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
Real Madrid are, however, in transition following the dismissal of manager Julen Lopetegui on Monday.
The 52-year-old paid the price for a disastrous start to the new season.
He lost his job after his Real Madrid side got thrashed 5-1 by arch rivals Barcelona in their El Clasico clash on Sunday.
Uruguayan international striker Luis Suarez produced his best game of the new season against the Champions League holders.
He netted a treble to steal the headlines in the absence of star player Lionel Messi who missed the game with an arm injury.
The aforementioned report will be music to Chelsea fans’ ears as they are desperate for Eden Hazard to stay at the club.
