Shocking! Barcelona reportedly want this Liverpool left back

From ESPN pundit, Paul Mariner –  the report that La Liga toppers, Barcelona want Liverpool left back defender, Alberto Moreno is perhaps a ‘misprint.’

Spanish giant, Barcelona, have reportedly been linked with moves to sign Alberto Moreno as a replacement for Lucas Digne, who they sold to English club, Everton for £20 million.

However, questions have been raised over the Catalans interest in Moreno.

A confused Paul Mariner disclosed that Alberto Moreno is below Barca’s standard and is no match to Lucas Digne, who left in the summer transfer window.

Paul Mariner in his statement stressed that it is a ‘downgrade’ for a big team like Barcelona and a bad move from every indication.

On the other hand, Mariner says it ‘is a fantastic move if it comes off’ for Moreno.

We also share the same doubt with Paul Mariner that it might be a misprint or likely a rumour since Barca are yet confirm the report or make any move in that direction.

However, if it turns out to be true then the Catalans may have made a bad move, this is because Alberto Moreno is not even in the Reds first eleven player with Klopp preferring to start Andrew Robertson at the left back instead.
