Georginio Wijnaldum on the match against Napoli – it was a reality check on us

Liverpool midfielder, Georginio Wijaldum disclosed that the match against Napoli was a reality check on the Reds.

Last night game against Napoli saw Liverpool being held down in the UCL.

Although the game ended in favour of Napoli with one goal to nothing, many believed that the Naples could have scored more goals because they were the better side.

The worst of it all was that Liverpool was unable to fire a shot on target, this is the first time such will happen under Jurgen Klopp and the last time the Reds were in this kind of situation was back in February 2006.

According to Wijnaldum, the Naples deserved their victory with the whole of Liverpool squad looking paralyzed.

He, however, urged his teammates to get over it and improve on their game performance.

Georginio Wijnaldum revealed that the match was a reality check on Liverpool and it means the team still has a lot to improve on.

The match against Napoli may have given other European teams especially Man City – who will play against Liverpool on Sunday,  a view on how to overpower the Red’s attacking trio.

Liverpool coach, Jurgen Klopp has however claimed that the club poor performance was his fault.
