Contact Made! Arsenal On The Verge To Sign Powerful Left Wing-Back

Arsenal have contacted AC Milan over a possible deal to sign Ricardo Rodriguez, according to reports.

The defender arrived at San Siro last summer for 15 million Euros despite been linked with a move to the Emirates following his brilliant spell with Wolfsburg in the German Bundesliga.

The Gunners are set to begin talks with Milan for the signature of Rodriguez as Sead Kolasinac faces a lengthy layoff.

Reports in the Daily Mail claim that Arsenal will attempt to sign a new full-back this summer, and have identified Rodriguez as a suitable option to stand in for Kolasinac.

Rodriguez, who played 47 games for AC Milan last season, netting four goals, is known for his explosive speed on the left flank coupled with patches of creativity but can be a suspect at the back due to his love to burst forward to join the attack.

There are reports that Bayern Munich are also monitoring the situation and could enter the race to sign the Swiss defender.

However, Rodriguez might be lured at the prospects of joining the likes of Granit Xhaka and Stephan Lichtsteiner at the Emirates.

Arsenal are left with the choice of Nacho Monreal as the only recognised left-back in the first team, and will hope to bring in a new face before the end of summer transfer window next Thursday.
