Manchester United Told To Pay £53m For Attack-minded Midfielder

Shakhtar Donestk star player Fred has been consistently in the news in recent times due to his links with premier league giants Manchester United.

It appears Jose Mourinho can now complete a deal for the Brazilian in the coming days, and it appears Fred will actually play at Old Trafford next season.

According to new reports, the Old Trafford club have been told they can secure his signature if they pay the £53million release clause in his contract.

Manager Jose Mourinho is keen on signing the South American star to replace Michael Carrick who hung his boots about three days ago.

Fred was heavily linked with a move to Manchester City in January, but his side chose to keep him at Ukraine – which made the premier league champions cooled their interests in him.

Mourinho’s side have reportedly held talks with the player’s reps and are said to have put a contract on the table for him.

But it was recently made known that the English club are yet to begin talks with Shakhtar Donetsk and that the Ukraine club are unlikely to receive a fee below £53 Million.

However, the Brazilian hoped his loyalty would persuade them into reducing the fee into something slightly less.
