Manchester United Set To Sign Proven Attacker Next Year Ahead Of Chelsea

Thomas Lemar

Manchester United were forced to share points with Leicester City on Saturday and are now 13 points behind league leaders Manchester City ahead of this week’s fixtures.

Jose Mourinho must take advantage of the upcoming January transfer window to reinforce his squad by signing new players if he is to catch up with Pep Guardiola’s side before the end of this campaign.

As far as Manchester United’s transfers are concerned, there are reports the Portuguese tactician desire signing an attacker, and he is looking to bring Justin Kluivert from Ajax.

Additionally, the report suggests the former Chelsea boss is now taking serious Monaco’s Thomas Lemar.

Lemar was superb at Monaco last term, scoring lots of goals and providing lots of assists to help his side win the French Ligue 1 title ahead of PSG.

Although he was heavily linked with a move away from the club during the past summer transfer window, Monaco were able to hold on to the Frenchman, but he is expected to leave the club next year.

Although Thomas is understood to have made Liverpool his most preferred destination, the fact remains that Jurgen Klopp doesn’t need an attacker right now and will likely focus on more on defense next year.

Manchester United can take quick steps to get the player’s signature ahead of the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal who are also interested in him.
