Liverpool have been able to win three games back to back – Huddersfield, Benfica and West Ham United, and the Merseyside club will wish to continue their impressive run when premier league duties resume after the international break.

After defeating West Ham gallantly at the London Stadium last weekend, Liverpool will host Southampton at Anfield as Jurgen Klopp will hope to earn all three points from the game.

Last season, however, Liverpool met Southampton on four different occasions and couldn’t even score a single goal against the Saints.

Nevertheless, things are no longer the same this season, and considering how brilliant Liverpool are upfront, we should expect a change.

And as far as Liverpool’s latest team news is concerned, midfielder Adam Lallana is returning to full fitness and is expected to feature in the game against the Saints after the international break.

The Telegraph made it known that the Merseysiders will arrange a training game behind closed doors for the player to regain fitness, and he could be in contention to play at Anfield against Southampton.

The 29-year-old was very much impressive for Liverpool last season, and it was made known that he earns up to $158,000 each week at Anfield.

The England international is yet to play a single game this season due to an injury on his thigh.

His return will be a great boost to Klopp in his attempt to win the premier league title this season.
