Gareth Bale made his move to Real Madrid from Tottenham Hotspur in 2013 for a whopping £85.3 million, but injuries, and the form of other players like Isco, are hindering him from getting to some higher zenith points.

In 159 appearances for the La Liga club, the Wales international has scored 70 times but is now linked with a return to the English top flight.

The Welshman has been linked with the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea for sometime after both premier league giants expressed strong interest in him.

However, Liverpool legend Ian rush believes his countryman should remain with Real Madrid for the sake of his own career.

Speaking to The Daily Mirror, the former Reds striker hailed his compatriot as a ‘world class player’ who ‘every club in the world would want’.

He also added that as a Welsh, he would like the 28-year-old to remain at the Spanish capital so as to get ‘more European experience.’

However, Ian feels that if Bale would be shown the exit door at Real Madrid, then Liverpool have what it takes to lure the player into Anfield.

‘I would love to see him [Gareth] at Liverpool though. A world class player.’ Ian said.

There are rumours Man United have agreed to send shot-stopper David De Gea across to the Spanish capital if they can send Bale over to Old Trafford.
