Ready For Chelsea! Man United Star Back To Training After Two Months Out!

Micheal Carrick is now back to first-team training at Manchester United after being sidelined for up to two months with an unknown sickness.

The Manchester United captain has made just one appearance so far this term for his side – which is the League Cup game against Burton Albion at Old Trafford earlier this season.

The 36-year-old has been kept out with an illness that has surprised Man United doctors.

The illness came at a time he was needed most by manager Jose Mourinho – when the duo of Paul Pogba and Marouane Fellaini picked up their respective injuries.

The red devils need a win this evening against their Portuguese visitors at Old Trafford to establish a top spot in their group that will get them to the knockout stages of the competition, and Michael has given his side a boost by returning to first-team training.

Even though he was not included in the squad that will play against Benfica tonight, he is likely to be among those who will clash with Chelsea on Sunday at Stamford Bridge.

The talented midfielder is likely to hang his boot at the end of this season, although there were speculations that he could make a move to West Brom come January.

Jose Mourinho has been settling for just Matic and Herrera for some time now, and Carrick’s return to the first-team will give him a big boost to beat Antonio Conte’s side when they clash.
