The past seem to be overshadowing the future for Arsenal. The club has always been a great team right from time. We have suffered important defeats that took us out of 2014/2015 competition where we were knocked out in the 16th stage after the loss to Monaco on away goals, and were also defeated by Dinamo Zagreb in their group F opener two weeks back .
Such set back will frustrate most players and fans usually but Mesut Ozil sees this in a different way and he truly believes that the gunners are really stepping up despite their losses and the team is becoming stronger.
According to Ozil
“We are developing ourselves further as a team ‘he told arsenal player, “Defeats always roused the team more and our aim this season is to go as far as possible and if possible to win it because we have the potential and we are aware that there are a lot of teams in the tournament who are among the favorites and have a good squad in the champions league. In football anything is possible and that’s what we want to show this year .With a bit of luck we can reach our target and that’s what we want to do. We want to develop ourselves further. We have a very good team with lots of quality, of course the first game didn’t go well for us but we have a lot of matches ahead and we want to do well.
History did not favor them as no English team has ever gotten to the semi-final of the competition since 2002 but Ozil believes they are about to change history this time around.
