Alvaro Morata: These Chelsea Players Convinced Me To Leave Madrid

It is no longer news that Alvaro Morata is finally ready to play in Stamford Bridge next season after Chelsea officially made the announcement yesterday. They have agreed an initial £58 million fee with Morata’s club which could rise to £70m after add-ons.

However, many of us do not know what occurred underneath, and the player has been making some revelations already.

The Spanish forward revealed that he has spoken to both Cesar Azpilicueta and Fernando Torres ahead of his move to west London.

It is understood that the talented forward has now left Real’s pre-season training camp in America and will arrive London on Thursday to undergo his medical and complete personal terms.

But before leaving Los Angeles, the Spain international was asked if he had already held talks with the blues Spanish contingent, and he told AS:

‘Yes, I have spoken with Azpilicueta. Also with Fernando Torres, who has told me that he will lend me a hand with whatever I need.’

After what seem to be a quiet start in the summer transfer market, Chelsea have successfully completed the signings of Willy Caballero (as a free agent from Man City), Antonio Rudiger (from AS Roma), and Tiemoue Bakayoko (from Monaco) ahead of a busy campaign next season.

The premier league champions were beaten by Man United for the signature of Belgian forward Romelu Lukaku despite that he has been linked with joining them for much of this summer.
