Chelsea Title-winning Midfielder Will Join Man United Only For This Reason

Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic is reportedly open to a summer move to Manchester United as Chelsea progress on Tiemoue Bakayoko transfer.

The solid midfielder has been linked with a move to the Old Trafford with reports that former boss Jose Mourinho wants to bring to the club as one of his trusted hands, although Chelsea is believed to be reluctant for the deal to materialise as they will not sell the anchorman to any of their league rivals.

Chelsea have been credited with an interest in AS Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, with reports that talks between the player and the club’s transfer chiefs have progressed over a fee reported £42million deal for the tough-tackling midfielder although, Manchester United and Liverpool have also been linked with a move for the 22-year-old.

Reports in the Independent claim that Manchester United will turn to Matic if they are beaten to Bakayoko’s signature by Chelsea.

The arrival of the French midfielder to Stamford Bridge might signal uncertainty to the future of Nemanja Matic who struck an excellent partnership with N’Golo Kante during their title-winning campaign.

It is understood that Blues boss Antonio Conte is keen on adding real value to his squad due to the expected heavy schedule of fixtures next season for the Premier League champions.
