Arsenal are plotting a summer move for AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca to partner Riyad Mahrez who has also been tipped to join them this summer, according to reports.
The Gunners are understood to be planning major transfer activity this summer after losing out of next season’s Champions League for the first time in over a decade.
Reports in Daily Mirror have it that Arsene Wenger who has just been given a new two-year deal has identified Carlos Bacca has one of his targets alongside Leicester City winger, Riyad Mahrez in a bid to add more power to his attacking options next season.
Bacca has been linked with a move to the Emirates since last summer after his impressive outings with Sevilla in the Spanish La Liga and the Italian giants, AC Milan.
Despite being 31 years of age, Bacca might be an ideal replacement for Olivier Giroud who has been tipped to leave the Emirates this summer, with reports that Marseille and Lyon are considering swooping for his signature.
It is understood that Wenger is also preparing to offload a number of players at Arsenal this summer and bring in his identified targets to bolster his ranks to challenge for the title next season.
