Chelsea Star Eden Hazard Have This To Say About Being Benched Against Tottenham

Chelsea winger and Belgium forward Eden Hazard has agreed that Chelsea boss Antonio Conte made the right choice to drop him in the Tottenham FA Cup game and play Willian over him.

The former Juventus boss benched both Hazard and Costa and instead preferred the duo of Willian and former Marseille striker Michy at the semi-final win against Tottenham, and Hazard is praising the manager for his strategies.

The former Lille star was however introduced in the second half and he came on to score the third goal after a 2-2 tie.

And Hazard has opened up on being benched, insisting that Antonio Conte made the correct choice.

He noted that he was not surprised of being axed because the Italian already told him about it yesterday, and he accepted because in football, although a player want to play every game, one have to except just anything.

He concluded that the boss made a good choice playing Willian the first two goals scorer – which helped the team.

Eden Hazard has been outstanding this season so far at Chelsea and has been nominated for the prestigious premier league player of the Year award alongside his teammate N’Golo Kante.

He looks towards helping his side win the premier league title and FA Cup double.
