RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita has revealed his desire to play for “one of the very big clubs” in Europe but it is not Liverpool.

The 22-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Anfield this summer, with reports that Jurgen Klopp is keen on having in in his midfield next season.

However, Keita has revealed that he wants to play for “one of the very big clubs” in Europe and even chose Manchester City over Liverpool.

Speaking about his possible destinations, he told Welt: “I hope, however, that I have the level in two, three years and could play for one of the very big clubs, this includes Barcelona, but it also includes Real Madrid or Manchester City.”

Prior reports suggests that Leipzig are not ready to sell the Guinean this summer and have slapped a crazy £70million fee on the midfielder, pricing out Liverpool from a potential deal.

Reports in German outlet Welt also claim that Keita rejected a chance to play in the Premier League last summer and stayed in the Bundesliga with Leipzig, who only gained promotion to the top tier in Germany.

Keita has since then developed into one of the best midfielders in the Bundesliga, attracting interest from several clubs in Europe.
