Pogba: Manchester United Love Zlatan Ibrahimovic, He Is A Big Player
The Frenchman is full of praise for the huge striker after his hat-trick heroics in the Europa League, Paul Pogba has lavished praise on Swede legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic after his Europa League hat-trick on Thursday night.
Ibrahimovic scored with a deflected free-kick to break the deadlock in the first half at Old Trafford after a low attempt under the Saint-Etienne wall in the first leg of their last-32 clash.
The 35-year-old extended the lead in the second half before he scored from the penalty spot in the final minutes of the clash to secure a 3-0 win in the opening leg.
As things stands now, he now has 23 goals to his name in 38 games in all competitions this season after his free transfer from Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain last year.
Pogba speaking to Manchester United’s website about Ibrahimovic after Thursday night’s 3-0 win against Saint-Etienne, said:
“That’s the big player.
“That is what we want from other big players. He looks like he loves Saint-Etienne because he seems to love scoring against the French side. So, hopefully, we score again and he will get better. We love the Ibrahimovic we see [on Thursday night].”
Mourinho’s side will make the trip to Blackburn Rovers in their next game in the FA Cup fifth round at Ewood Park on Sunday afternoon.
