Why I rejected United move, Diego Godin

The chase of Spanish La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid star Diego Godin by English Premier League outfit Man United has now ended after latest report.

It is claimed that Diego Godin had already agreed on a deal with the Italian Serie A outfit Inter Milan ahead of the coming summer transfer window.

The Red Devils have been in the chase of the star player for over a year and it was in their favour to land him but he made a decision to remain with at the Spanish capital with Athletico Madrid despite the big deal submitted for him.

Now, there is no longer hope for the Red Devils to secure the signature of the 33-year-old as he would be joining the San Siro outfit in the coming season.

However, reports hint that an announcement would be made in coming days as an agreement has already been reached between the two sides.

Meanwhile, it is unsure if Man United would have made another offer for Diego Godin if he was to be available in the coming summer window as he is already 33 which is not acceptable as a new signing at the club as manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer storms the transfer market with £100 million.
