Landon Donovan Has Doubts Over New Chelsea Player

United States Male National Team (USMNT) legend Landon Donovan has expressed his doubts over new Chelsea signing Christian Pulisic.

Landon Donovan expressed his fears about Christian Pulisic during an interview with popular media channel ESPN.

The former Everton and LA Galaxy attacker revealed that Pulisic might struggle to make a meaningful impact at Chelsea when he joins the Blues this summer.

Landon Donovan is worried that his lack of activity at Borussia Dortmund this season could affect Pulisic at the start of his Chelsea career.

Chelsea secured the signing of Christian Pulisic from German Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund last month in a £58m deal but the United States of America international is not expected to join Chelsea until the summer.

Pulisic, 20, will spend the rest of this season at Borussia Dortmund before linking up with his new teammates at Chelsea this summer.

He has played just 13 times for Dortmund this season.

Christian Pulisic faces a big battle for a regular starting spot at Chelsea next season with several quality wingers at the disposal of manager Maurizio Sarri.

The American forward will face the likes of Eden Hazard, Willian, Pedro Rodriguez and Callum Hudson-Odoi for a spot on the wings at the club.
