United set to lose one of biggest stars

Manchester United are set to part ways with Antonio Valencia in this winter transfer window, according to reports.

It is claimed that Newcastle and Fulham are keen to land the star player before the end of this January winter transfer window and the Red Devils will not block his way for the move.

The Ecuador international is the most senior player in the United team with respect to the number of years spent at the club, having stayed for about a decade at the Old Trafford.

The odds were against him this season as he failed to secure playing time, a development that has got him frustrated and he is keen on leaving, knowing that he has a limited number of years to play with his age.

The Sun reports that the Red Devils will sanction the move as long as the right offer is tabled for his signature but a loan move could be possible with an option of a buy.

Reports claim that Antonio Valencia wanted a stay at the club but he is left with no choice after the Red Devils told him he is free to leave.

Meanwhile, Newcastle and Fulham will have to make their plans known to Antonio Valencia before a choice can be made on the next move.
