How United will drag Matthijs De Ligt with Bayern Munich revealed

Manchester United are believed to have entered the race for Matthijs De Ligt who has been on the radar of German side Bayern Munich for a while now.

Calcio Mercato reports that the Manchester side will move as fast as making a deal for the player in the winter transfer window coming in January in order to be able to win the race.

At 19, De Ligt has impressed with the Ajax first team where he has had about 100 appearances as well as having about 11 caps for the Holland national team.

Though young, De Ligt has been able to confirm his position in the back four for both his country and club side.

His record has been impressive and the Premier League side are making efforts to have his signature knowing his young age and his ability.

Recall that manager Jose Mourinho had lamented not being able to have his wish for defensive options to equip his squad in the last summer transfer window.

In a bid to avoid the rift that ensued between the Portuguese manager and the management, there are indications that he will be given massive support ahead of the coming transfer windows with defenders as his major priorities.
