Unai Emery Plays Down Premier League Title Challenge

New Arsenal manager Unai Emery has cooled talks of a title challenge for his team in the Premier League despite their impressive form.

The former Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and Valencia boss spoke to Arsenal and talks of a title challenge during his post-match press conference on Sunday afternoon as he pointed out that his team is still a work in progress.

The Spaniard saw his team score four second-half goals to record a comprehensive 5 – 1 win in their London Derby clash against Fulham at Craven Cottage.

The positive result made it nine straight wins for the Gunners in all competitions.

Arsenal took the lead through the in-form Alexandre Lacazette in the 29th minute off an assist from Nacho Monreal.

Spanish left-back Monreal turned villain fifteen minutes later after he turned the ball over in his half thus allowing Andre Schurrle to dink in the equaliser off a Luciano Vietto assist.

Arsenal’s quality eventually proved too much for Fulham to handle in the second half.

Lacazette shot Arsenal into the lead again in the 49th minute before Aaron Ramsey extended the Gunners’ lead just after coming on midway into the second half.

Another substitute Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang netted a late brace to give the North Londoners a comprehensive 5-1 win.
