Tottenham Join Liverpool In Race To Sign In-form Bundesliga

North London giants Tottenham Hotspur have joined Liverpool in the race to sign RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.

The petite attacker has been in sensational form for his German Bundesliga outfit this season.

He has scored 11 goals in 17 appearances for RB Leipzig in the German Bundesliga this season.

His goal contributions have propelled his German club to the top four places on the league table which will guarantee a return to the Champions League next season.

In total, Timo Werner has scored 13 goals in 21 games for club and country this season.
The interest of Tottenham Hotspur was confirmed by popular German newspaper Bild.

Bayern Munich and Liverpool are long-term admirers of Timo Werner with recent reports claiming that the player has turned down a move to the Bavarian giants.

Timo Werner has doubts about getting enough playing time with German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich with Robert Lewandowski still the undisputed first choice striker in the squad currently managed by Niko Kovac.

Liverpool could do with the firepower of Timo Werner with the Reds going head-to-head with English champions Manchester City for the Premier League title.

The Reds are four points ahead of Manchester City with 17 league games left.
