Title Race: Manchester City Are Stronger Than Liverpool

Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte is certain that the Citizens will retain their Premier League title at the expense of rivals Liverpool.

Manchester City and Liverpool are in a two-way race for the Premier League trophy and Laporte believes that his team has the quality required to beat the Reds to the league title.

Aymeric Laporte talked about the Premier League title race in a recent interview with Telefoot.

According to him, Manchester City are stronger than Liverpool.

The Reds presently occupy top spot on the Premier League table ahead of defending champions Manchester City though the Citizens have played a game less.

Liverpool moved two points clear of Manchester City on the table following the comeback win over the Saints on Friday night.

Naby Keita, Mohamed Salah and substitute Jordan Henderson scored for Liverpool who came from behind to beat Southampton 3-1 in their away game at the St. Mary’s Stadium.

Southampton had taken a shock lead through Shane Long before the aforementioned three goals sealed the maximum points for the Reds.

French defender Laporte also told reporters that the quadruple dream is a realistic one for Manchester City.

Laporte and Manchester City are gunning for three trophies in addition to the Carabao Cup trophy they won earlier this year.
