£50m Striker Warned About Liverpool Move

RB Leipzig manager Ralf Rangnick has sounded a note of warning to in-demand striker Timo Werner about a move to the Premier League.

German national team player Werner is one of the most exciting young strikers in world football and he has been attracting the interest of several European sides including Premier League table toppers Liverpool.

The RB Leipzig striker has scored 11 goals in 19 league appearances for his German Bundesliga club since the start of the season.

Ralf Rangnick believes that Timo Werner will be better served rejecting a move to the Premier League with the Reds as he cited the struggles faced by former teammates Naby Keita at the club.

Guinean international midfielder Naby Keita signed for Liverpool from RB Leipzig at the start of this season after both clubs agreed on a £53m transfer fee for him.

He has struggled at Liverpool whenever he has played for the Reds although the African star has been plagued by several injury worries.

Liverpool have previously been linked with a £50m transfer for Timo Werner who has just 18 months left on his current deal with RB Leipzig.

The club wants to tie him down to a new deal but the player wants to leave with Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and Liverpool all interested in him.
