Sarri Maurizio: ‘Cesc Fabregas injury is a bit strange but nothing serious’

Injury Update: Coach Sarri Maurizio says 31-year-old midfielder injury is a bit strange but nothing serious

The Blues under Sarri Maurizio so far have not seen much players on injury except for one senior team midfielder, Cesc Fabregas.

Fabregas has been out of form for Chelsea since the beginning of the new 2018/19 season.

The 31-year-old Spain international only played for the Blues during the preseason tour which lead to his sustained a knee injury.

And since then he is yet to return to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea have played fours straight matches, of which they achieved 100 per cent success without their key midfielder.

However, Coach Sarri Maurizio after the Blues win over Bournemouth gave an update on Cesc Fabregas injury.

He said that the injury of Fabregas is a bit strange but nothing to be taken serious.

It is believed that Cesc Fabregas will make a return to the Blues squad after the international holiday.

If the Spanish midfielder resumes to Stamford Bridge, he will have to work hard to get a chance to play in Sarri first team squad.

This is because since the Spaniard was injured, Sarri Maurizio has preferred to use the trio of Jorginho, Kante and Kovacic in the midfield.
