Salah Backed To Return To Scoring Form

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah will soon rediscover his killer instincts in front of goals according to teammate Virgil Van Dijk.

Dutch international Van Dijk told reporters in his latest interview via Goal that Mohamed Salah will return to his best and that other teams would be delighted to have a quality player like the Egyptian international in their ranks.

Salah failed to hit the target for the fifth league game in a row during the weekend’s win over Fulham.

He has scored just three goals in his 11 games for Liverpool in all competitions.

Despite the lack of ruthlessness from Salah, Liverpool were able to secure a crucial 2-1 win over the Cottagers.

Liverpool took a first half lead through the in-form Sadio Mane off an assist from Roberto Firmino.

The Reds were cruising to victory until the mix-up between the aforementioned Van Dijk and goalkeeper Alisson Becker gave the hosts their equaliser in the 74th-minute courtesy Ryan Babel.

Liverpool were then handed the chance to get the much needed three points after erratic Fulham goalkeeper brought down Mane in the box.

Reds substitute James Milner dispatched the penalty to give Liverpool a 2-1 win.

The result was enough to take Liverpool to the top of the Premier League table.
