Reports of Ronaldo from Man United lies – Perez

Real Madrid President Florentino Perez has revealed that reports of interest for Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United were not true.

Perez made it clear that the Spanish giants received no offers from any other club except Juventus before the player had his summer switch to Italy.

Reports had earlier emerged that the Red Devils were in line for the former Real Madrid player’s signature but were denied the opportunity to have him back.

The Portuguese, after winning the Champions League with Real Madrid decided to move on with the French side, PSG and United reported being on the line.

Ronaldo ended as a Juventus player and has begun his exploit, although, after a slow start.

Perez who was reacting to reports that Madrid had denied the English side from signing Ronaldo, told Daily Express that the Los Blancos had received no other offers for Ronaldo during the summer.

He said Ronaldo will be remembered by Real Madrid for his exploit, adding that no one has ever collected more than 100 million for a sale in Madrid.

The former United player is also straggling to replicate his success at Juventus after playing a couple of games without a goal.

He finally found the back of the net on the league game by scoring a brace.

Ronaldo was also sent out of the Champions League clash against Valencia by the referee. He cried while leaving the pitch.

It is not clear if he will have to face a three-match ban after an appeal was made as he hopes to be on the pitch when Juventus play United.

That could just be the game most football fans across the world will be happy to see.

United boss, Jose Mourinho has stated that he expects the Portuguese player to score against his former side.
