Club Boss Finally Confirms No Deal With Liverpool This Summer

RB Leipzig star player Naby Keita is staying with the Bundesliga club and will play for them in the upcoming campaign, as the club’s boss Ralph Hasenhuttl confirms that Liverpool’s pursuit of the Guinean is now ‘100%’ over.

Liverpool are said to have given up on signing Keita since his club remains reluctant to let him go.

Keita has emerged as a major target for Liverpool this summer, but the Leipzig CEO has now confirmed that the African star will be staying with them next term to help in the Champions League.

Keita played a big role in Leipzig’s success last season in the Bundesliga, scoring 8 goals and providing 7 assists with 41 chances created.

And when Hasenhuttl was told that the reds were ending their interest in the 22-year-old, he notes that the player is a very important member in their squad so it is sure he will be staying with them for the upcoming campaign.

‘The chance [of Keita leaving] is “null”. It is 100% clear that he will play this season with RB and at the beginning of the transfer window we said we will begin with the same team with all the main players we had last year and that no one will go and that will be our answer now also.’ he added.

We didn’t try hard enough, other clubs would have got him. Same will go for VVD we will not spend big, the so called 200 million transfer kitty a myth. We won’t get them next season either, as we won’t have anything to offer them. Certainly not champions league not with this squad,we supporters are being conned sorry to say. This squad will be lucky to be sixth, this was our time to make a statement but again failing miserably. We are going to get left behind by the big clubs, it’s going to happen without a doubt.
