North London outfit Arsenal have a major setback from their Sunday clash against Everton as they will now be without defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos for the next two Premier League games against Crystal Palace and Watford.
Sokratis Papastathopoulos was shown a yellow card in the 25 minutes of the game to make 10th time in the league this season and that amounts to a disciplinary action against him by the FA.
The Greece international will now wait until the Europa League quarter-final tie against Napoli before he will see another game.
It would be recalled that Sokratis Papastathopoulos missed Arsenal’s 3-2 game against Southampton in the first leg.
However, Sokratis Papastathopoulos’ absence will be a major setback for the Gunners team as Unai Emery will hope to have his entire team together so that they can be able to secure more wins until the end of the season.
The target for the North London outfit is to finish in the top four but that will only be possible if they are able to win most of their games left this season.
Arsenal are at an advantage as they have got no top-six team to play before the end of the season.
The Arsenal team have missed out of the Champions League for two seasons and they hope to return by the coming season.
