‘I am ready’ – Star player ready to fight for his position under Sarri

Oliver Giroud ready to fight for his position and an extension at Chelsea under Sarri

Chelsea striker and France international, Oliver Giroud in a latest statement made it known that he is ready to fight for his position under new coach, Sarri Maurizio.

Oliver Giroud, who joined Chelsea from Arsenal under Ex coach Antonio Conte to serve as a replacement for Michy Batshuayi and Álvaro Morata’s backup, had been a regular last season for the Blues.

The ex-Arsenal striker was highly favoured over Morata under Conte as the Italian coach saw Morata as ‘a not so good’ player.

However, things turned around under new coach Sarri Maurizio with the Italy international preferring to start Alvaro Morata over Giroud.

Sarri believes if the Spanish striker is encouraged he can perform better, so far this season the Spaniard has been spectacular.

But France international, Giroud in a statement disclosed he will fight to get his position back under the new coach.

However, we didn’t know how he plans to do that yet.

Olivier Giroud also added that he will get a contract extension before this season runs out.

We are not sure the Blues will want to give him an extension for a long time owing to the fact that he’s above 30years.
