Pundit – I will suggest this 68-year-old coach to replace Mourinho, Arsenal fans on alert

If emerging report is anything to go by, former Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger could have a shock return to the English Premier League but certainly not his former side.

This is worth talking about after a veteran English sports presenter and analyst, Richard Keys, tipped Wenger to take over from embattled Manchester United boss, Jose Mourinho.

The former Chelsea managers’ job was previously linked away with the name of the former Real Madrid coach. Zinedine Zidane mentioned.

Wenger himself is yet to secure any deal with any club since terminating his contract with Arsenal after 22-years reign at the club.

Keys, an authority who has worked with BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Sky, Talksport, Al-Jazeera, Fox Sports, ESPN Star Sports, said the Frenchman will not be a bad replacement for the Portuguese.

He said he will be first to suggest Wenger for the job once Mourinho is sacked.

Despite recording a rough end of his reign at the Emirates Stadium, the veteran journalist rates Wenger high, noting that he has made and managed big players, in addition to his rich and grounded experience of the English League.

Aside from the Champions League, the former Arsenal boss has won the EPL title and the FA Cup, dimming him fit for the job.

It is, however, not sure if United will take the gamble of returning Wenger to the Premier League as the club’s Chairman, Ed Woodward has made it clear that ‘The Special One’ still keeps his job despite the unconvincing results so far for the Red Devils.
