No Liverpool Return For ‘Unsettled’ Coutinho

Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy is certain that the club has no interest in re-signing Barcelona playmaker Philippe Coutinho who has endured a frustrating spell at the Spanish club till date.

The Reds legend told Sportingbet that the Coutinho transfer to Liverpool are just mere rumours before adding that the club won’t sell star player Mohamed Salah who’s attracting the interest of Italian Serie A Champions Juventus.

Earlier this month, news broke from the Italian media that the Old Lady want Egyptian national team talisman Salah in a deal that could be worth at least £175m.

It was also revealed that Juventus are open to the idea of a swap deal involving Paulo Dybala.

Mohamed Salah has a long-term contract at Liverpool until the end of the 2022/23 and the Reds won’t want to lose him to another major European club just like the cases of Luis Suarez and Philippe Coutinho.

Luis Suarez joined Barcelona in a £75m deal in the summer of 2014 while Coutinho also signed for the Spanish La Liga giants in January 2018.

Brazilian midfielder Coutinho has not enjoyed the best of times at the Nou Camp after failing to adapt to the playing methods of Ernesto Valverde.

He has scored just four league goals this season.
