No Liverpool Player For Man City XI – Premier League Winner

Former Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott has made a controversial statement after the ex-England international star revealed that no Liverpool player will make the first XI at Manchester City.

Lescott talked about Liverpool and Manchester City while he was doing his punditry work on popular British radio TalkSport.

According to him, he won’t include any Reds player in the present first team at Manchester City.

Joleon Lescott also praised the impact of Aymeric Laporte and Virgil Van Dijk at Manchester City and Liverpool respectively.

Manchester City and Liverpool broke their respective transfer records to sign the two centre backs.

Liverpool defender Van Dijk became the most expensive defender in world football after the Reds splashed the huge sum of £75m on him.

The Dutch international player joined the club from fellow Premier League side Southampton at the start of last year.

Ironically, Aymeric Laporte signed for Manchester City within the same period as the aforementioned Van Dijk.

Manchester City paid a club-record fee of £57m for the Frenchman.

The Citizens signed him from Spanish La Liga club Athletic Bilbao in January 2018.

Laporte and Van Dijk have been instrumental to the Premier League title challenge at Manchester City and Liverpool respectively.

Joleon Lescott is a former Premier League winner with Manchester City.
