One of the best decisions Chelsea made this season is the signing of French midfielder N’Golo Kante from Leicester City. The talented player has been very brilliant for Chelsea this current campaign, and is heavy favorite to win the prestigious premier league best player award.
However, his manager at Leicester City Claudio Ranieri has hit Leicester’s decision to allow Kante move to Chelsea as he claims that the player could have been very useful to him when he was still boss at the club.
Kante won his first premier league title with Leicester City last summer with Ranieri as boss, and Ranieri is now of the opinion that Kante shouldn’t have been sold to Chelsea.
He believes with the French international in the team, Leicester could have achieved something special in the Champions League.
The Italian manager was sacked just a year after he helped won the Premier League Cup for the foxes in one of the most exciting moments in football history. The manager stated that he was disappointed to not get the chance to continue his job in Europe.
And as his former club are set to face Atletico Madrid in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, he expressed that they would have had a better chance of winning it had N’Golo Kante remained at the club.
Ranieri revealed to Sky Sports that never wanted to sell him Kante with another important player in the team like Vardy.
