Chelsea Striker Facing Uncertain Future After Juventus Decision

Chelsea striker Gonzalo Higuain is facing an uncertain future following the news that parent club Juventus don’t want him back at the club this summer.

Argentine international Higuain is on a short-term loan deal at Chelsea having joined the Blues from Italian Serie A champions Juventus at the start of this year.

Gonzalo Higuain signed for the Blues in January shortly after he terminated his loan spell at Italian Serie A giants AC Milan.

According to the publication from popular media portal Goal, Juventus don’t want Higuain to return to the club after his loan spell at Chelsea.

Juventus signed Higuain in the summer of 2016 in a club-record deal worth at least £75m.

The 31-year-old became surplus to requirements at Juventus following the signing of Portuguese international superstar Cristiano Ronaldo last summer.

The Ronaldo transfer eclipsed the deal that took Higuain from Napoli to Juventus in 2016.

Juventus paid at least €100m to sign Ronaldo from Spanish giants Real Madrid at the start of the season.

Higuain has not had the best of starts to his career at Chelsea with just three goals in 10 games and it remains to be seen whether the Blues will make his transfer permanent at the end of his loan deal.

£31.3m is the transfer fee required to make his loan deal permanent.
