No Comparison: New Chelsea Signing Rejects Hazard Pressure

Chelsea forward Christian Pulisic has turned down the pressure of replacing Eden Hazard at the club following his move from German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund.

The Blues signed the American international star in January before he was sent back to Borussia Dortmund for the remainder of the season.

Christian Pulisic could not help Borussia Dortmund win the league title after they were piped to the Bundesliga title by defending champions Bayern Munich.

Chelsea were said to have paid £58m for the player’s transfer from Borussia Dortmund thus making him the third most expensive signing in the history of the West London giants.

The German Bundesliga season ended at the weekend and Christian Pulisic has been in London this week to complete his move to Chelsea properly before he leaves with the American national team for the Gold Cup tournament this summer.

In his recent interview monitored by Goal, Christian Pulisic played down the comparison with Chelsea talisman Eden Hazard.

According to him, he’s nowhere near the quality of the aforementioned Hazard.

Chelsea could lose the services of Eden Hazard this summer amidst strong interest from Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid and Christian Pulisic could be his replacement.

The American could be the only arrival at Stamford Bridge this summer pending the CAS hearing into the two-window transfer ban slapped on Chelsea by world football’s governing body FIFA.
