New Analysis showed Chelsea FC paid too much for Kepa Arrizabalaga and also made the biggest loss sign out

English football club, Chelsea signed Kepa Arrizabalaga from Spanish club, Atletico Bilbao following the departure of Thibaut Courtois to Real Madrid.

However, it was not the late signing that mattered but the amount the Blues paid to sign Kepa.

According to information, Chelsea paid the sum of £71.6 million few hours to the close of the summer transfer window which showed that the Blues paid the money out of desperation and a desire to bring in a new keeper but it turned out to make Kepa the most expensive goalkeeper in the world.

However, a new analysis from CIES football observatory working on football data disclosed that the Blues overpaid sum of £40.1 million to sign Kepa.

According to the research group, the transfer turned out to be the most over inflated transfer in the summer transfer window.

Apart from this, the Research group disclosed Chelsea made a loss of £20 million on Thibaut Courtois transfer to Real Madrid.

However, the report revealed that Liverpool on the other side made a huge profit from the purchase of Fabinho from AS Monaco.
