Midfielder Calls For Total Liverpool Focus In Title Bid

Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita has called for total focus and concentration from his teammates in their quest to win the Premier League title.

The Reds have 18 league titles from the Old Division but they are yet to win the Premier League trophy since English top flight football was revamped ahead of the 1992/93 season.

Naby Keita made a rallying call for a focused and concentrated title charge in a chat with the official website of Liverpool.

The Guinean international midfielder could win the Premier League title in his debut campaign for Liverpool who paid a lot of money to secure his transfer from German Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig last summer.

Liverpool were said to have paid £53m for his transfer.

Naby Keita initially struggled to make a positive impact in the Premier League partly due to several injury niggles but he has shown signs of improvement in recent games.

He played his best game in a Liverpool shirt in the last game at Anfield as the Reds dispatched Bournemouth via a 3-0 win.

Liverpool are one point ahead of rivals and defending champions Manchester City in the race for the title after the draw with three-time European champions Manchester United at the weekend.
