Everton manager Marco Silva is certain that midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson will show his quality in the colours of the Toffees ahead of their upcoming league clash with Merseyside rivals Liverpool.
Everton will take on Premier League title chasers Liverpool in a Matchweek 29 clash at Goodison Park on the weekend.
Marco Silva praised the impact of Sigurdsson during his post-match press conference after the thumping win over Welsh side Cardiff City which served as a perfect dress rehearsal for the Reds game.
He was reacting to the performance of the Icelandic international star who scored two goals to give Everton a 3-0 win at the Cardiff City Stadium against the struggling Premier League side.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin got the other goal towards the end of the game to make it a comprehensive win for Everton.
Marco Silva has been under a lot of pressure due to the recent run of poor results.
Everton lost nine of their last 14 games in the Premier League before the Cardiff City win.
The result against the Welsh side ended a run of three straight defeats.
Their Merseyside rivals Liverpool will take on Watford at Anfield on Wednesday night hoping to maintain their lead at the top of the table.
