Mourinho not finished yet, legend defends manager

Manchester United legend Gary Neville described as “non-sense” insinuations that Coach Jose Mourinho is finished at the top of the game because of the situation in the club at the moment.

Mourinho has been in the news for not too good reasons owing to his alleged rift with star player, Paul Pogba, his bust-up with executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward over failed transfer request and more so, the slow start of the team in the new season.

The Portuguese has been in the center stage of these controversies which has attracted insinuations from pundits that he could be seeing the end of his managerial career.

Speaking in his defence, Neville stated that the former Chelsea manager cannot be written off and will soon overcome the difficulties he is currently passing through.

He recalled that the same scenario played out in the days Sir Alex Ferguson when United did not win the league for a couple of seasons and people already concluded that the former boss was done with football until he posed a surprise and won the league again before taking a bow amidst a loud ovation.

Neville, therefore, stated that the good goods will soon return for Mourinho as the team has what it takes to close the gap that has been created.
