Manchester United have received a massive boost in their pursuit of Fulham defender, Ryan Sessegnon after the Championship side signs a potential replacement.
The 17-year-old has been a subject of interest from a host of clubs in the Premier League, due to his impressive displays at Craven Cottage.
Liverpool were believed to be leading the chase of the youngster earlier this summer, before they pulled out of a possible deal, with suggestions that Fulham are reluctant to let the left-back leave just yet.
United and Tottenham Hotspur have been the latest names to be linked with moves for Sessegnon and the latter have even made an offer of 25 million pounds for the youngster, which was turned down by Fulham. The Red Devils have also been tipped to make a last-ditch attempt to snatch the promising left defender.
Fulham have now announced the arrival of Porto left-back, Rafa Soares on a season-long loan deal which could be a like for like replacement for Sessegnon at the same position.
There are reports that Mourinho could consider signing a left-back before the end of the summer window and would cash in on Luke Shaw who has not be able to make the cut under the Portuguese since last season.
