Premier League star demand additional £10m from Chelsea after £30m snub; star determined to move

Premier League Champions Chelsea will have to pay additional £10m if they are keen on signing Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater this summer transfer window.

Blues manager Antonio Conte wants to seal a couple of transfers before the summer transfer window slams shut.

Conte is determined to sign England international midfielder Danny Drinkwater to strengthen his midfield, but a transfer is proving hard.

According to Daily Mail, Chelsea have submitted an offer worth £30m for the 27-year-old Leicester City star.

But the Foxes told the Premier League Champions last Friday that they want an additional £10m and will not consider cashing in for less than their £40m asking price.

It is thought that Drinkwater is determined to join Chelsea and negotiations are on going as Antonio Conte is trying to pull down the price-tag.

As well as the central midfielder, the Foxes are still expecting late approaches from AS Roma and Arsenal for Riyad Mahrez.

The England international midfield maestro missed Leicester City’s 2-0 victory over Premier League new boys Brighton on Saturday due to his thigh injury problem.

Providing Drinkwater is still a Leicester player by then, the midfielder should be fully fit to face Manchester United at the weekend.
