Ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window, Sporting star player Bruno Fernandes has been linked with a move away from the Portuguese club in recent times after emerging as a target for premier league heavyweights Liverpool.
It appears the talented midfielder is bound to play at Anfield next season, as, according to new reports circulating in Portugal, the Merseysiders have begun talks over a summer deal for him.
Fernandes has been impressive at Sporting this season so far and has become one of the most important members of the club. He has scored 13 times and has provided 18 assists for his teammates in all competitions – which has caught the attention of various top European sides.
The 23-year-old is also likely to travel with the rest of the Portuguese party to Russia for the World Cup this summer due to his form.
Although Liverpool have already agreed to a deal with RB Leipzig for Naby Keita, the club are reportedly still interested in signing another midfielder to add more quality to their team.
And it was made known that their officials have already met with Bruno’s team to discuss a potential switch to Merseyside at the end of this season.
However, Fernandes has a release clause of £87m in his current contract at Sporting, and it is unlikely Liverpool will get him for anything less.
