Liverpool Officials Plotting To Jet Out To Finalise £26.8m Deal

There are new reports that officials from Anfield are planning to travel to Turkey to finalise a deal for Besiktas’ Domagoj Vida.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp splashed £66.8m to complete a deal for now-former AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson Becker some days back.

The German boss is keen on taking advantage of the ongoing summer transfer window to add more strength to his team and transform his side into a European powerhouse ahead of the upcoming campaign.

And it appears Klopp is committed to continually improving his side, with Besiktas star player Vida on his radar.

The talented defender drew a lot of attention to himself at the World Cup in Russia, helping his country (Croatia) to reach the finals of the tournament – though they lost to a stronger French side.

He has caught the attention of the likes of Everton, West Ham and Liverpool, but it appears he is bound to play at Anfield next season.

Milliyet made it known that his side have already rejected West Ham’s £19.7 Million bid for him, and even Everton couldn’t meet up with their valuation.

The Turkish newspaper are reporting that Besiktas are demanding £26.8 Million for Vida’s signature.

It was added that officials from Anfield will travel to Turkey in the coming days to complete a deal for the player.
