Top Player To Choose Liverpool Ahead Of Chelsea This Summer

According to former Newcastle man Micky Quinn, Southampton skipper Virgil van Dijk has made the decision to join Jurgen Klopp at Anfield ahead of Chelsea this summer.

Van Dijk is fast emerging as one of the hottest prospects in the Premier League in the 2017 summer transfer following his superb performances at Southampton.

The Netherlands international helped his side reached the EFL Cup final before injury ruled him out of the game at Wembley, giving Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United the chance to lift the trophy with their 3-2 win.

In the just concluded premier league season, it is glaring Jurgen Klopp’s defense is not too strong. And since the Reds are making a return back to the Champions League next season, they are bound to be linked with a handful of superb defenders who can make them stand against other top European clubs like Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Juventus, and others.

Antonio Conte was able to win the Premier League title in his first campaign at Stamford Bridge and narrowly missed out on a domestic double following the FA Cup final defeat to Arsenal at Wembley. Even though the Italian manager has superb players in his squad, John Terry is quitting Stamford Bridge already and someone else is needed to fill the legend’s void.

Chelsea are yet to make a summer signing, while Liverpool already got Solanke from the Stamford Bridge club.
